Teachers, Schools and Local Authority contacts have plenty of great things to say about our services, training and consultancy. Best of all pupils enjoy working with us and their parents verify that we get meaningful results tailored to their young people.

Career North has been providing our Independent Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance for 7 Years and they are a valued and integral part of our school community. Pupils benefit from high-quality Careers Advice from a team of professional Careers Advisers who take a flexible approach and respond to our school and pupils changing needs.

Headteacher, Ormskirk School

The school provides very good careers education, information, advice and guidance so that pupils can make informed decisions about which subjects to study within and beyond school. Pupils have access to substantial independent advice from an external careers service (Career North) and the school prioritises disadvantaged pupils for this support.

“It was a pleasure to work with Jayne, and her energy and passion for careers work was very evident.  She has a down to earth focus on what actually works and has a huge toolbox of ideas.  She was flexible in her approach, delivering via Teams because of the pandemic, and very willing to work with us so we could get the best out of the sessions.”

What some our pupils say about F.A.M.E

It was great news to hear that Career North has successfully tendered funding to build capacity in careers guidance through their FAME programme. We place great importance on providing all of our pupils with access to information about the full range of opportunities available to them at the end of Year 11 and the high quality personal guidance they receive enables them to make sense of it. Starting earlier at Key Stage 3 will increase the impact and reach of careers guidance and we are looking forward to the programme commencing with our new Year 7 pupils in September.

Consultancy & Training

Attended a superb course lead by Jayne today. Walked away with a wealth of new knowledge, enough materials for half a dozen INSET sessions at my own school … and a huge motivation to take coaching – at a different and advanced level – into my own school. What she doesn’t know about teaching, learning, coaching, nqt support, etc … isn’t worth knowing!
