IMMERSIVE PUPIL LED STORY TELLING with puppets, masks and props! FairyTwists© support the delivery of SMSC and PSHE education and will contribute to the embedding of literacy skills accross the curriculum.
What are FairyTwists©?
FairyTwists© are pro social modern day short stories for primary age pupils based upon traditional fairy stories. They address contemporary social issues and aim to challenge limiting beliefs, raise aspirations, foster resilience and develop social skills using immersive storytelling and multi sensory learning.

The FairyTwists© resource can be delivered by any member of classroom staff and are designed to engage pupils throughout in the telling of the story, using higher level questions to provoke discussion and enquiry based learning. Masks, finger puppets, props and role play are used to meet the different learning styles of pupils. Pupils are supported to reflect, consider and share their feelings and opinions on key aspects of the story.
This approach to storytelling and the content of the stories actively promote resilience, challenge stereotypes and celebrate diversity.
