It’s opened my mind – Career North

‘It’s opened my mind’ ‘It was amazing they are so supportive and helpful’ and ‘They have shown me I should speak up, say something and not to be shy’ are just a few of the positive comments year 7 pupils have made following their early Career Conversations.

It’s early days for Career Norths’ FAME (Focused and Achieving More from Education!) programme funded to boost personalised guidance for young people by The Careers and Enterprise Company.

However all schools are well underway with identifying and training both Year 7 pupil and staff Career Champions and some are already busy undertaking their new roles, with pupils already asking if they can continue with the Career Champion role in Year 8.

We look forward to building on the early successes of the FAME programme throughout the rest of the academic year and would like to thank you for your support, we couldn’t do it without you!
